Today’s DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE reaches out to my listeners to…   LET THE GRACE IN 🙂

Today I want to encourage you all to live freely in Christ. What exactly does that mean? How does it work? And, what can we do with this great gift?

THE PROBLEM: When we mess up. Big or small. We put our foot in our mouth more often than we want to, we choose ourself and our own needs over others, we act independently (do life without God) then wonder why our world is a mess… And it goes on. It can be exhausting. We can replay the event(s) which commonly results in an increased feeling of worthlessness, and maybe shame. We can begin to consume our thoughts with this is what we call…..living in it. This is how we get a foothold set on this and the darkness loves this….when we fill our heart, mind, and soul with so much angst that it becomes near impossible to see the light.

THE WORD:

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17

‘NOT CONDEMNED’= Let’s get it clear…with Christ we are not condemned so let’s not fall for that lie.

‘SAVED’= Do you see how this word is past tense. It doesn’t say he will save you. It says, “You are saved.’ DONE.

‘THROUGH HIM’= Yep, that is right. NOT by our perfection…by the transforming love and gift of Jesus. I say transforming for a reason. Something happens as we let the work JESUS already did work. WE need to understand this process of … THROUGH.

THE GIFT: FREEDOM! I mentioned it above and we’ve all felt this when we get stuck in guilt and shame. Guilt and shame are not of GOD. Love and grace are God’s work.

THE CHOICE: We need to let the light in! It is our choice. We can live in our sufferings or we can step into the grace of our Father…

Let the love of Jesus and all he has done for us break us free from the footholds that darkness tries to but on us!
